Orientation (STAGE 1) program

Wiltja Boarding recommends students attend 2 orientation (stage 1) programs:

Year 5 x stage 1 program
Year 6 x stage 1 program

Completion of the Wiltja Boarding orientation program – partnership school booking form and booking confirmation form will secure a placement into the program. It is recommended that this paperwork is completed in week 8 every term to ensure all requirements are met.

Orientation (STAGE 2) program

This is in preparation for secondary enrolment in term 1 the following year at Avenues College
3 to 4 weeks at the end of a term (targeted at the end of the final year of primary school)
Student/s attend without accompanying staff
At the end of the orientation program, an assessment is made of the student’s ability to succeed at Wiltja Boarding and enrol at Avenues College
Student enrolment will be underpinned by a flexible approach to best suit student needs within negotiated timeframe

Expression of Interest – students residing outside of the APY lands

Students residing outside of the APY Lands and who are not able to complete Stage 1 Orientation visit, can submit the Expression of Interest Form.

Step 1 Fill out this application, provide all the documentation as outlined and send to Wiltja Boarding.

Step 2 We will arrange an interview with you and the student (either by phone or in person). The student must attend the interview whenever possible.

Step 3 You will be contacted in regard to the outcome of the application. If successful we will negotiate an orientation (stage 2) program with you so that the student can have an experience at boarding and Avenues College. An ABSTUDY application and consent paperwork will be sent to you for completion and return.

Step 4 Following the completion of a successful orientation program, the student will be offered a place at Wiltja Boarding.
