Global Experience

Students complete their final year of schooling with volunteer experience as a conclusion of their secondary education while at Wiltja Boarding, achieving their gold award in the Duke of Edinburgh program.

Students are encouraged to participate in the trip and have a meaningful role in helping others, experiencing overseas travel and developing personally. Students have the opportunity to volunteer with a well-established tour company in Vietnam and Cambodia. The group’s recent focus is to support people in remote areas of Vietnam and Cambodia as part of an established program in Hoi An, Vietnam.

They complete five days and four nights of volunteer experience in a program with people to achieve a common goal, in an unfamiliar environment. This should be a life changing experience after their two years of commitment to this award program.
